Many of my introductions about online poker punts have been about how much money I lost on that day. This makes sense; poker tournaments are so top-heavy that you’re going to have a lot more losing days than winning days. Today’s hand comes from what we will technically call a winning day. I paid $51,650 in buyins and cashed for $88,725, for a tidy profit of $37,075.62. (However, my biggest cash of the day was in the GGMillion$ Day 1A, which I didn’t technically cash until Day 2, which started on December 13th. I feel comfortable calling this a winning day, but sticklers might disagree.) Another notable cash on this winning day was that I managed to min-cash a tournament where I punted in the early stages. This hand is paired with last Tuesday’s hand, POTD #22, where I three-bet in the CO and made a value bet that was thin on the river. Last week I ran into a set; today I ran into, almost certainly, a worse hand than mine that folded. You can judge which hand was worse for yourself.
